Seduction

It's the temptation. It's that feeling. You don't quite know if it's genuine or not. Are you being toyed with? You just don't know, but it's enticing.

As photographers, it is our job to invoke feelings, but often we get to choose which feelings to invoke. Sometimes it is us that take the lead, and other times we are simply there to capture. Of course we still have the power of the edit, but core of the image is being created on the spot.

 

By giving some of that power to the subject, we allow a more diverse personality to come through. Letting the subject create the tension, allows for entirely different feeling on part of the viewer.
